A new Host4u2 Service
We have added a new service to the Host4u2 Network!
Although Host4u2 maintains a 100% Uptime record, there are still many issues which can, and eventually will, result in downtime. Just a few of these issues can be corrupted scripts, backbone interrupts, etc.
Don't be taken in by the hype! No one needs to monitor more than 1 or 2 ports to insure notice and resolves on downtime. Think about it, SMTP and POP3 are 'monitored' by your email client. MySQL should not be monitored at all for security reasons. Ping and DNS is not necessary if you monitor HTTP (Port 80). Also, if you are serious about your uptime, you want to know if your site is down ASAP, not in 30 minutes or an hour later! The service also allows you to check ports anytime, 24/7, via a special control panel!

We've said it many times, and cannot stress it enough. Daily backups of your website data can be downloaded via your Control Panel FREE at anytime. mySQL databases, Filters, aliases, etc., can also be downloaded via your cPanel seperately. Please make use of it.
Although we at Host4u2 do all we can to protect your data, it soley remains the client's responsibility to keep local backups of their data. We offer both Free Do-It-Yourself solutions via your cPanel, as well as Paid Subscription automatic backup solutions. Do NOT leave your web site data to chance...Review your backup strategies today, and act on them!

Schedule automatic cPanel Backups directly to your desktop with > Site Backup
We use this great utility to backup all of our own databases automatically to a local desktop daily. This is important, since databases change daily, and a full weekly backup can leave database backups out-dated by days! Full Backups include all of your account's data, mySQL databases, POP3 Accounts (mail), Mailing Lists, Sub-Domains, DNS Record(s), MX Record(s), FTP Accounts, Permissions, etc.. Very configurable.

Do BOTH!
We subscribe to our Weekly Backup Solution for complete backups, and also use Site Backup only to make daily backups of each of our mySQL databases which change daily. The backups are automatically backed up from the server and downloaded to your personal desktop as often as you schedule them.
